Did some recording in between with Jeannie Sinclair and Stateside plus numerous Jed Ford concerts and festivals, working with artists like Dave Dudley, Stonewall Jackson, Ferlin Husky and Bobby Bare. I then went off to the States and Canada and played with all kinds of bands from Nashville to Vancouver. I have had the good fortune to work with so many excellent bands - such as Chapperal, Nichols and Dimes, Kentucky Gold, Pinkertons Colours and Jon Derricks Country Fever to name just a few. Anyway, having worn my picks out, right up to the knuckle I thought my playing days were over, so I packed up (for seven years) and started a new family. Started back about Feb 2003 doing a few dep jobs for my good friend Micky Byrne.

Having spent two years writing, rehearsing and social networking, they’ve met a great producer in a lovely studio that lets them sparkle, and are ready to release the harmony heavy musical bubbles in all of them bringing their own brand of feel good country music to the people of the UK and beyond.

Dominic Halpin has been a professional musician since the age of 15.  He has fronted a number of different bands – from punk rock, through rockabilly to swing; quite an eclectic range.  During his time living in Australia, Dominic built up a very well respected reputation with his band Dominic Halpin & The Suspects and since 2005, when he moved back to the UK, he has had much success with his swing band Dominic Halpin & The Honey Bs (www.dominichalpin.com) and this continues, with bookings already into 2014.

The Hayley Oliver Band
Over the past few years Hayley has regularly performed with various Artists and Bands. A chance meeting with Lee Ellis at Buds Country Music Store 5 years ago lead to the idea of Hayley forming her own band.

They first came together in February 2009 and began to rehearse for their first gig at the Viking Rooms and the 18th April 2009. They were warmly received by the crowd and the decision was to ultimately continue with the live performances and to record their first album "Naturally" with Hayley.

Hayley needed to showcase her talents on the live circuit, and with two albums in the can, the award winning "Two Hearts" and "I Can Still Dream", she needed a way to get the music across to her wide and varied audience. "Naturally" marks the first, of hopefully many, recordings together.

The Hayley Oliver Band from Britain have slid into the number 1 position on the Hotdisc charts this week to make it three chart toppers out of three releases for the band who have now become the most successful British act ever to appear on Hotdisc. No other UK act has managed three number ones in the main Top 40. It's an incredible achievement for the singer who has only really been on the scene for just over a year with her band.

Highway Dave & The Varmints Born and raised in The Black Country in the Industrial Heartland of England in the 1950s, Dave got his first guitar for his 7th birthday, by which time The Beatles and The Stones were well underway. The new music was not welcomed into the Vale household, regular entertainment and early influences being provided by the small collection of Johnny Cash and early Elvis Presley records.
Working with long-time friend, percussionist Tim Robbins (SAM, ManianaRama), he was surprised to be contacted by Mick South after more than 20 years, These three quickly recruited the rock solidest rhythm section known to alt.country, in the form of Chris Brown on bass and Al Cormell on drums. Hey presto! The Varmints!
Having been reunited with Mick after so many years, Dave thought it would be a nice idea if some of his other old friends could feature on the album, so he set about contacting John 'Speedy' Haddock and Mark Stuart who was running Mad Hat Recording Studios Both very busy guys, but none the less they both agreed to take part.
The icing on the cake was supplied by guests Pete Arnold with his banjo, Jeff Homer's fabulous harmonica playing and two of the Bushburys finest - Buzby Bywater and his Big Bull Fiddle and Lucy Collinge-Hill, who not only provides her usual wonderful fiddle playing, but also duets with Dave on the last track.

The Jackson Creek Band comprises of Ben Ashby, Helene Jones and Ken Hill; an acoustic band based in Cambridge, UK performing country & western, bluegrass and folk music -  all with a healthy dose of harmony, some fancy guitar picking and wholesome bass beats.
It all started with an idea; Ben Ashby wanted to play country & western music in Cambridge, England. Ben was born in the US and lived there for close to ten years, and a love for C&W music is something he's carried ever since moving back to Britain with his folks.
Ben learned about an American singer who was living in Cambridge who, was looking for a new project, too. He contacted Helene Jones and together they formed a duo act called Ashby & Jones, in 2012.
Ben and Helene learned some songs and performed at local folk clubs-  but Helene and Ben both decided something was missing; a bass player.

Ken, Helene and Ben then decided to rename the band and The Jackson Creek Band was born.

Bob King is an award winning Country Music Entertainer who has travelled the length and breadth of the British Isles and beyond, bringing his style of Country Music to the many Country Music clubs and festivals throughout the land.

Bob spent the first sixteen years of his life in the south west of Scotland in his home town of Kilmarnock, before moving south of the border to settle in the Manchester area where he learned his trade with the British based Irish Show bands until he cut his teeth as a solo performer, a role he has maintained to the present and eventually to his new home in the East Midlands town of Mansfield. It was back in 1989 when Bob decided to turn professional and telephoned the then promoter of Pontins Country Music Breaks, Bob Chappel, and was allocated a slot on “The Showcase” where he was so popular that besides being added to the mainstream shows at all the holiday camps he was inundated with enquiries from all over Britain as to his availability to work in the regional Country Music clubs, several of these clubs enjoying his performance so much that he was vote Act Of The Year, making him one of the most sought after solo artists on the circuit. Bob also won the Ponsmere Hotel Country Music Festivals Sylvia Saunders Trophy in 1994. Another string to Bobs bow is his song writing ability, a talent which can be appreciated on many of the releases out of the Emerald Isle as well as on the recordings that Bob has released. Bob took a break from the business but is now back on the road with his unique style and delivery

Music for Mike Lane started out as a hobby.
From being a teenager he always had a guitar in his hand and was singing.
During his time in Hong Kong he became part of a Chinese four piece band and that was it, he was hooked! On his return to England he continued to play and sing at various shows that his friends had asked him to do.
Finally Mike turned professional in the 1980s and now has achieved amazing success not only in the UK but worldwide!
His talent and hard work have got him work all over the world. His music can be requested and played on most mainstream radio stations and is available for download on iTunes, Reverbnation and other internet sites and shops.
He is also a regular on various country charts throughout the world and his new songs are receiving critical acclaim in Nashville, Ohio, Kentucky, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Europe plus UK.

Lazydog. The year 2000 saw the release of their studio album 'Chasing the Dream', followed in 2001 by 'Live at the Red Bandana'. Well loved by the fans at festivals and events they will always be the ones to simply 'do their own thing' in their own inimitable way.

Leather & Lace a male/female Duo new to the Country Scene. Deanne sings lead Vocals/backing vocals and Paul plays Keyboards, Guitar and backing Vocals. Their set is mainly New Country with the influences of Shania Twain, Leanne Rymes, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Alan Jackson to name but a few, but they are making sure that some of the old favourites are included too with artists such as Patsy Cline and the Bellamy Brothers and the more traditional Country Music.

Logic are singer songwriters Davy and Valerie. Born in Belfast Davy and Valerie moved to England and set up their recording Studio - Wizard Sound Studios near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, where they record their music. Their music is a blend of Country & Folk with strong melody and thoughtful lyrics. Traditional Irish music or Country music had little influence on Davy & Valerie's early life. They were inspired by american pop/rock music and british pop/rock groups of the 1960 / 70's - Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Otis Redding, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones etc. It wasn't until they had moved to the outskirts of London, where they heard Irish folk songs sung in pubs and social clubs, that they became aware of the musical traditions of their homeland.
Johnny Marks Over the years Johnny's music has been influenced by such artists as Gene Watson, Merle Haggard, Hank Snow, Ernest Tub, Buck Owens and many more.Johnny has worked hard to achieve his present status within the country music business and his revision of the Hank Snow number "Merry-Go-Round" you could say is Johnny's trade-mark.
Susan McCann Twenty seven years on Susan McCann, Ireland's First Lady is still a highly respected personality with both the public and media in her homeland and overseas. She is certainly one of the most travelled and consistent performers to emanate from the Emerald Isle. In 2003 she will have a number of new singles in the shops and her international activities continue unabated as she kicked off her world-wide appearances with a tour of South Africa and with several other tours to follow in America, mainland Europe and the U.K.

Terry McKenna musician singer/songwriter, based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England For many years as an entertainer Terry appeared in concerts, shows and music festivals, often with top names, all over the country. Though not as active touring and performing as he used to be, he is still involved with songwriting and recording with a new CD released Songwriter, 12 original tracks.
For the majority of his musical career, Lance Merlin has been playing in a dutch country/rock band called  TREND. These guys were well known in the country scene and renowned for their excellent harmony singing. They never would shy away from taking on songs that were done by, for instance, The Eagles......and the way they arranged the musical and the harmony parts, were always very high praised.
Lance has been a member of  TREND  till spring 2008, when he decided to leave The Netherlands and move to Great-Britain. While doing a normal daytime job as a forklift driver, Lance has been trying to gather musicians around him, to form a new countryband, which obviously wasn't as easy as it looked at first hand.
After attending a performance of CarollAnnB in Crewe, he knew then and there that he would be able to do performances by himself, playing the guitar and sing, with the help of backing tracks.
Repertoire from Alan Jackson,George Strait, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, and everything upto The Eagles are in his repertoire. And if asked, he is able to do a few of the oldies as well like Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Waylon and Willie.

Mim Grey, the most beautiful voice to come out of the UK in a very long time, released her long-awaited and highly accomplished debut album, ‘Grey Matters’ in April 2010. The album evokes the sounds of James Taylor and Joni Mitchell but conjures up a life lived through high-heeled boots, blue jeans, curling tongs, late nights and love lost and found.

Shortly after the release of ‘Grey Matters’ and a successful UK theatre tour, Mim hunkered down in her bedroom once again to begin the creative process that would become her second solo album ‘Chasing Tigers’. The collection of beautifully hand crafted songs have a slightly earthier feel to them than on her previous album and Mim seems to feel more comfortable in her own skin as you are drawn into the stories of childhood, life, love and passion.

Without doubt, Mim Grey is one of the finest voices in the world and her ability to recreate the beauty of her recorded albums live is unsurpassed. The way she manages to turn the intricate details of her personal life into emotional heartfelt songs is something that every music lover should experience.
MICHIGAN DUO from Stoke are husband and wife with Andrew on lead/rhythm guitar and Diana on bass guitar.  The couple met in Malta and formed a duo called Kalamazoo performing middle of the road music together along with Country music.  They instigated the first Country music festival on Malta. Recently I met Maltese Country singer Marisa D'Amato and I know Mel Paul & Mary Lacey spent time over there.I thoroughly enjoyed their performance, their discrete harmonies, sharp bass sound and nice added lead guitar work.

Bob Morgan was born in Birkenhead but, in his early childhood, moved to Wallasey, where he still lives.

Around the age of 15 a school friend invited Bob along to listen in at a rehearsal with his band. During the practice the singer’s microphone broke down and he went off to get a replacement. In his absence Bob’s friend repaired the original microphone and, whilst awaiting the singer’s return, Bob was invited to have a go at a couple of songs. As the singer, on his way back, neared the house he heard Bob and fearing that the band was trying to replace him, stormed off in a huff never to return! A new career was born there and then!
This schoolboy band would practice at Bob’s house and store their equipment there. Not one to miss an opportunity, Bob began to learn to play the drums alongside his other interest in the guitar, in time, becoming accomplished with both instruments in addition to singing.
Over the years Bob has played in various “pop/60s/rock & roll” bands such as “The Mersey Specials” and “Chunky” as well as “depping” with many other “Merseybeat” outfits. Allied to this have been spells with a comedy/cabaret group (Past & Present), front man for a well known North West country rock band, “Charlie Boy” (later to become “Steelin’ Time”) and “Gazzmatazz” – a blues/jazz/soul combo. In addition to music, Bob also performed in pantomime throughout the 80’s invariably cast as the villain apart from 2 memorable occasions as dame (without the beard!).

Bob had always liked country music but it was whilst touring US army/air force bases in Germany and Turkey in the late 60s/early 70s that he was introduced to “the real stuff” by the US servicemen and eventually, a few years ago, began to perform country music with a long time guitarist friend who convinced him that he should have been doing it 30 years earlier!! The duo was the “Country Gentlemen” and when his colleague moved on to other projects Bob found that he was a fully professional solo act almost by default! This might have been the end of Bob’s development until he found himself meeting the same chap at club after club and being hounded into “joining our band”!! The band turned out to be the remnants of the former award winning group “Western Union” and they reformed with Bob as front man – they are now known as “Bob Morgan’s Western Reunion” and Bob fits in the odd job with them as and when solo commitments allow.

A big fan of the more “traditional” style of country music Bob’s act features songs from the likes of Alan Jackson, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn along with a nod to George Jones/Merle Haggard/Charlie Pride and Hank Williams.

From the age of seven Sam Millar stood alongside his family performing traditional Pop & Country Music standards of the time. His many Performances, in clubs and pubs prepared him well for what was to become a lifetime love of music. Sam’’s roots in Pop and Country Music proved an influence on his on going song writing career and in late 2002 he sent a demo of his material to the head of CMR Nashville. From this he met the owner Lee Williams, who told him: “Pack your bags, you’’re going to Nashville"
