A Celebration
of the Best in
Country Music
Nashville Nights and Dixie Days is back 'on the road again,by popular demand, with an even bigger and better show. If you are one of the thousands who come and see us every year, or you are seeing us for the first time you are in for a night that is truly a celebaration of the best in country music.

Whether you are a fan of Old Country and the likes of Patsy Cline and Don Williams or New Country and the likes of Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, this is the show for you. In fact, even if you've never before admitted to being a fan of country music, but enjoy entertainment at it's best, you'll love Nashville Nights and Dixie Days.

Led by Neil Sands , the Nashville Nights All Star Band & Singers will take you on a non-stop journey of over two hours of brilliantly performed country classics.

It is a show with no stars - the music is the star and all of us in the show are blessed to be able to perform it every night. We don't try to imitate the stars, we just sing our hearts out performing the music that we love, and hopefully get you to join in with us as much as possible. Country music is more popular than ever and this show leads the way in performing the widest range of country music to the widest audience.

14th NORTH WALES COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL
  5 -7 SEPTEMBER

VENUE CYMRU (Formerly North Wales Theatre )
LLANDUDNO

The line up for the 2008 renewal keeps up the usual high quality .
This year’s bill topper is the legendary guitarist Albert Lee with his band Hogan’s Heroes. Also making the trip from the States is Texas singer / songwriter Kimmie Rhodes who has written for and sung with such greats as Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris.
We all know Nick Barraclough as the voice of Radio 2 country music and now of course Smooth Radio. Not so many people know he is a singer and musician as well as a broadcaster and has put together a group of musicians called “The Burglars” who play an eclectic mix of bluegrass and contemporary acoustic music.

We also debut at the festival arguably the most exciting and authentic modern country band in the UK , Scotland’s Brian Hughes and the Lone Sharks. Brian is one of the few British artists to have a publishing deal in Nashville and his music reflects this.
Added to this we have some of the best of the regular UK country favourites like Kalibre, The Fabulous Picasso Brothers and The Haleys. Completing the line up in the Theatre we introduce a young man from North Wales Alistair James who is making a big name for himself with his Welsh recordings , and Iona & Andy themselves who put together a band of stellar British musos , The Festival Band , to back them.
As well as the theatre shows in the evening there is an all day line dancing session on Saturday afternoon presided over by Maggie’s Triple M dance academy and featuring sets from B.J. Locklin.
Then there is of course the legendary easy listening afternoon session in the Ocean Lounge which for 11 years was presided over by the much loved and now much missed Ben Rees. “When we lost Ben two years ago we all agreed the name Ben’s Bar would live on as long as the festival continued” says Andy. This year Ben’Bar is under the stewardship of Phil Lloyd and Chuck Micallef.

The Box Office is now open for this year’s festival .
